OverviewTRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a globally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. TRC acts nationally to address some of our country's most challenging problems: global climate change and energy independence.
TRC is seeking a Project Manager for Strategic Deployment to be a solution development subject matter expert (SME) for our business development team and multiple utility energy programs throughout the United States.
The ideal candidate will be assertive, personable, and a self-starter with the capacity to management multiple tasks working under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager and the management team. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal team members and external customers. The ideal candidate will understand clients and programs needs and have the technical and management acumen to remove barriers and drive the teams toward solutions as needed. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, have strong communication and customer service skills, and the capacity to handle multiple urgent priorities.
Program support will include communication, business strategy, solution development, process development, training, budget and scheduling, policy and procedures, resource planning, and more. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the energy landscape and relationships to help drive innovative solutions to push forth program goals. A hands-on approach combined with program management knowledge is desired to push the team to achieve their goals.
Previous experience with utility clients, energy efficiency, demand management, building performance principles and best practices, working with end-users (residential, commercial, industrial) and program implementation is highly desirable. This position requires travel.

- Support new program launches including, client/stakeholder meetings, program design, process development, operational procedures, trainings, staffing, and other tasks required to launch a program.
- Program solution development and improvements/enhancements such as eligibility requirements, operational procedures, participant journey, incentives, marketing and outreach, education, and trainings.
- SME client presentations in support of business development and program teams.
- Client relationship management from pre-positioning, contract award, start-up, implementation hand-off, and periodic program enhancements.
- Collaborate with program managers and business developers to support a wide variety of program offerings.
- Represent TRC at industry events for networking and thought leadership.
- Support management team with business strategy and strategic deployment priorities.
- Represent TRC Advanced Energy group as the company of choice in front of our colleagues and competition.
Minimum Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel 30% to visit territory, clients or industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, sustainability, business, management or related fields.
- 7+ years of relevant program implementation or large project management experience within the energy sector.
- Experience managing multiple high-stake projects through various phases of a project life cycle.
- Experience with RFA/RFP writing, reviewing and pre-positioning presentations.
- Experience with creating and presenting formal presentations to senior leadership and clients.
- Experience working at a utility company, with understanding of programs, highly desirable.
- Strong computer proficiency that ensures day-to-day work and meeting attendance can be performed successfully. Experience using MS Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and ability to conduct independent computer-based research is required.
- Hands-on management experience in a fast-paced consulting environment with exceptional attention to detail and client service.
- Experience working in a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system environment to help design project requirements and workflows; work with CRM development teams to optimize program implementation.
- Experience working on multiple project deliverables and executing on time and in budget.
- Success in developing and implementing plans and management of budgets and resources.
- Work force development and experience of building and leading complex and diverse teams effectively.
- Involvement with Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) initiatives.
- Grant writing expertise.
- Champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Awareness and familiarity with energy efficiency landscape, related regulatory requirements, and key players.
- Awareness of social, economic, and environmental contexts of statewide energy policies.
- Excellent oral, presentation, and written communications skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Any advance industry certifications would be considered (PMP, LEED AP, CEM, Lean Six Sigma, PE, etc)

Compensation- In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
