JOB OVERVIEW
FCCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Communications Manager to lead and enhance our organization’s communications efforts. This role will be responsible for developing compelling website content, creating impactful presentations and managing client communications for FCCS’ Risk Management and Insurance Services (RMIS) business. The role will project manage marketing and communications projects with practice areas and consultants to align with the brand’s messaging and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a strong grasp of digital and corporate communications, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

In addition to an annual bonus opportunity and competitive benefits, the salary range for this position is $72,000-$109,000 annually.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Communications
- Craft clear, consistent, and professional communications to clients, including newsletters, updates, and strategic announcements.
- Partner with client-facing teams to ensure communication strategies enhance client relationships and provide value.
- Develop templates and guidelines for effective client communication across various channels.
- Maintain client contact lists.
Presentation Development
- Create high-quality, persuasive presentations for internal and external use.
- Translate complex ideas into clear, visually compelling presentations to support business development, client meetings, and executive communications.
- Ensure presentations are aligned with our unique and strategic branding and messaging.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a strategic communications plan that supports company goals.
- Maintain a content calendar and ensure timely delivery of all communication initiatives.
- Monitor and report on communication effectiveness, leveraging analytics to refine strategies.
Project Management
- Lead cross-departmental project teams to manage project objectives, communication strategies, deliverables and timelines.
- Execute the success of project deliverables.
- Utilize project management tools (Teams and Teamwork) to ensure on time delivery of projects in line with budgets and expectations.
Content Management
- Develop, write, and edit website content that aligns with brand voice and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with key subject matter experts to translate critical risk management and insurance insights into clear, effective materials including client updates, reports and marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to ensure website content is engaging, optimized for SEO, and updated regularly.
- Develop scripts for strategic video and live presentations.
- In coordination with consultants, create podcast interview scripts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate communications, content development, or a similar role required.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of brand management and digital communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft nuanced communications.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong time-management/self-management skills applied to prioritizing tasks, avoiding distractions, and ability to maintain focus.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Strong digital literacy with experience or a demonstrated ability to learn, adapt and implement new technology.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for working with employees at all levels of the company.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred experience in graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Canva, or comparable programs.
- Preferred familiarity with risk management and insurance concepts, such as underwriting, claims management, policy structures or regulatory compliance.
