Position Overview:

Drive the procurement process for materials and services essential to sustaining Sonny’s reputation as a global leader in conveyorized equipment, parts, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complex supplier relationships, ensuring optimal performance.
• Procure materials using the MRP system effectively.
• Handle purchase order acknowledgments and manage discrepancies in quantity, pricing, or delivery timelines.
• Expedite delayed parts and address critical shortages as identified in reports or meetings.
• Administer blanket purchase orders efficiently.
• Analyze root causes of procurement challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate supplier meetings to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
• Escalate unresolved shortages, shipping holds, or other critical concerns to senior buyers or management.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (minimum).
• Associate degree (required).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Experience working in manufacturing and MRP systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple supplier relationships.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
