Job Description: 

Legend Brands is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Buyer for our Burlington WA Headquarters. This position diversifies how and where materials are procured, brings new products to market, and tactfully supports operational buying. This role encompasses planning, data analysis, reporting, negotiating, process development, and cost management. To deliver successful results, the Strategic Sourcing Buyer must develop strong internal/external relationships and knowledge of operations. The successful candidate can identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers that meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives and additionally design and implement scalable sourcing plans. Collaborate with other Legend Brands buyers and suppliers in the negotiation of contracts, pricing, problem resolution, and new product introduction as well as participate in Engineering and New Products Teams as an active member helping to influence best practice sourcing. The ability to utilize advanced Excel functionality and D365 to analyze data, implement solutions and create successful business results, is required.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bridge communication between suppliers, engineering, and stakeholders.
• Experience working with Engineering Departments to support product design while ensuring procurement processes are appropriately maintained.
• Successful track record of managing vendors while focusing on quality and cost elimination.
• Previous project management experience is a plus.
• Technical knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• MRP/ERP experience (Experience with D365 is a plus).  Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; spreadsheet experience necessary.

Hiring Range:

Between $80,400 to $94,600/annually
