Manages strategic customer accounts to deliver sales targets for the key strategic OEM accounts in alignment with Cirba Solutions values and sales processes. Develops and implements sales plans with clear account priority coordinating with commercial leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities
- This dedicated salesperson will be required to understand and capture right opportunities within both existing commercial accounts as well as new emerging players including some new technology players for energy storage customers
- Responsible for managing key accounts globally and manage the business operation based upon the contract
- Understand key account strategy and build value proposition that we can provide
- Build knowledge of market including value chain, customers, competitors and application with energy storage/recycling landscape
- Responsible for commercial analysis, contract management, price negotiation, forecasting etc.
- Strategic account documentation and marketing
- Require strong commercial experience managing complex account in chemical industry or Automotive (Car) industry
- Responsible for key accounts which includes several NA auto and battery manufacturer accounts
- Handle inquiries related to energy storage/recycling applications based upon business and NBD strategy
- Main interface with energy storage market leaders if and as needed
- Sell RECYCLING services and grow sales revenue at key strategic accounts within the EV value chain (Auto OEM, Battery, etc.)
- Own the Cirba Solutions customer interface with assigned strategic customer portfolio
- Maintain and improve market, customer and competitor information
- Achieve/exceed sales objectives through both revenue & profit through value added selling
- Take a leading role in developing value propositions with business leaders and supporting functional groups to demonstrate performance improvements and/or value creation for customers
- Successfully negotiate, implement and secure key/large business opportunities through long-term supply agreements
- Forecast accurate sales volume and revenues
- Build and maintain key customer relationships at various senior management levels.
- Identify and develop new opportunities with strategic customer portfolio
- Translate market plans to actionable tasks and tactics supporting business strategy
- Optimize Cirba Solutions internal relationships with business, technical service, S&OP, manufacturing, CSR and finance to maximize rate of success
- Coordinate/Facilitate cross functional collaboration efforts in support of Cirba strategic initiatives (ESG, recycling, next-gen materials, etc.) with Customer team members
- Develop and maintain customer organization chart, stakeholder profiles, and contact strategies
- Develop and maintain Sales Account Plans
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Seasoned strategic account management skills
- Basic knowledge of chemical industry and chemical applications; OEM and/or Battery knowledge preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to develop relationships and influence across multiple functions of customer organization
- General economic principles and implications on negotiation strategies (i.e. supply/demand, value/cost in use, etc.)
Education and Training Requirements
- BS degree in technical or business related discipline - prefer MBA, MS or PhD
- Minimum 7 years of sales and commercial experience
- Experience managing large, strategic sales accounts
- 7 years of Chemical or Automotive Industry experience required
- Ability to travel within the US approximately 50% of time
- 7 years of experience managing large and complex commercial or customer interfacing accounts
- Experience with commercial analysis, contract management, price negotiation, forecasting etc
- Commercial experience managing complex account in chemical industry or Automotive (Car) industry
