You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious Wagestreamers, across Europe and the USA, building a category-leading fintech product united by that same mission.
The Opportunity:
Since our launch in London in 2018, Wagestream USA has rapidly expanded. Now, we're looking for a Strategic Account Director to play a pivotal role in managing and growing our largest US-based clients as we continue our growth into 2025. In this role, you'll partner closely with our Head of Client Success to drive adoption, retention, and expansion while identifying new opportunities for success and growth.
This hands-on, high-autonomy role empowers you to make a meaningful impact from day one. Starting as an individual contributor managing strategic accounts, it offers a clear path to grow into a leadership position.
The Team:
You’ll join a dynamic, high-performing Client Success team that is responsible for driving app adoption, client retention, expansion, and creating enthusiastic product advocates. Collaboration will be key as we scale, and you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
How you will make an impact:
- Build Relationships: Engage with senior stakeholders at our most strategic clients, becoming a trusted advisor and partner in their financial wellbeing journey.
- Drive Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on client retention, expansion, and long-term success.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with our support, product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Influence Product Development: Share insights from clients to help shape future product and service improvements.
- Mentor and Lead: As we scale, you’ll guide and mentor the Client Success team, sharing best practices and helping build a strong foundation for future growth.
What You’ll Need: (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)
- 8+ years of experience in Client Success or Sales in a high-growth tech or SaaS company.
- Strong expertise in managing complex client implementations and contract negotiations.
- Exceptional communication skills, especially with C-level stakeholders.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to creatively problem-solve.
- Ability to identify risks and opportunities and prioritize effectively.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience working with clients in HR, People Operations, Payroll, or Finance.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Earned Wage Access (EWA)
What You’ll Achieve:
Within 1 Month:
- Be up to speed with the Wagestream platform, team, and tech.
- Have met key clients, shadowed key meetings, and gotten familiar with the Wagestream terminology and processes.
Within 3 months:
- Taken full ownership of your client portfolio.
- Led client calls with confidence and presented comprehensive account plans.
Within 6 months:
- Successfully executed on launch and account plans, driving positive outcomes for clients.
- Supported sales with pitches and shared (one of your many) success stories
- Contributed to mentoring and the continued scaling of the Client Success team.
Working Policy: Hybrid (3 days/week in Arlington, VA or Madison Avenue, NY office) with occasional travel for client meetings.
Salary Range: Dependent on experience, $140,000 - $160,000 with a 20% performance bonus
Equity: Share in the success of Wagestream with stock options
