Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 7:30am-4:30pm

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Coordinates all Maintenance Store Room activities and highly engaged in store room’s ownership. Responsible for driving store rooms inventory accuracy, Parts receiving, Obsolete parts management, Plant receiving, Store rooms tour ready condition, Store Rooms organization, Spare parts audits, Consignment end of month reports, free bin management, store rooms security, store rooms attendant, comply with all OC inventory management policies, daily engagement with Plant Buyer/ Maintenance Leader/ Mechanics and etc. Position must complete other assignments as directed by Maintenance Leader and Buyer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all safety and plant requirements individually and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety
Participates in the safety, quality, autonomous maintenance training, TPM, 5’s and housekeeping pr ograms as established within the plant
If there is a deficit of any parts, notification is to be sent to the Plant Controller. The notification should include the part number, quantity issued and remaining quantity in inventory.
Be an active participant on the Spare Parts Improvement Team.
Review spare parts stored in Parts Room and Forklift Shop with Maintenance Team to determine if the parts are useful or obsolete
Work with Maintenance Buyer to remove obsolete items from inventory and, if possible, return to vendor for refund
Organize the Parts Room in a manner that will allow mechanics to find parts in the shortest time possible
Communicate to the mechanics in any changes to the Parts Room layout
Verify all incoming parts into SAP, put parts away, and bring paperwork up to the front office for receiving on a daily basis
Participate in safety and housekeeping programs as established by Plant
Keep working area, and Parts Room clean throughout shift
Perform other job related duties as per supervisor
Assist Maintenance buyer when parts need to returned or sent out for rebuild.
Assist maintenance buyer with record retention procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Mechanical general knowledge / aptitude
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Wear required PPE equipment (safety glasses, bump cap, steel toe boots, ear protection, heat/cut resistant gloves, long sleeve shirt, and face mask)
Able to shovel wet sand
Climb and descend stairs
Lift, push, and pull 50lbs repetitively
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Wear required PPE equipment (safety glasses, bump cap, steel toe boots, ear protection, heat/cut resistant gloves, long sleeve shirt, and face mask)
