Position Overview:

Position Overview:
- Leveraging the higher density of LTO 9 and 10 series tapes, the project involves reading out data from the legacy LTO tapes and rewriting into LTO 9/10 series in order to reduce the number of tapes that Company needs to retain for compliance purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Handling internal client restore requests end to end, including working with vendors and data center stakeholders to ensure tapes with relevant data are onsite and available in the tape library
- Troubleshoot any backup or restore errors
- Interfacing with data center and tape library vendors to troubleshoot and ensure any hardware failures are addressed and remedied in timely fashion.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Veritas NetBackup Software
- 2+ years of experience Tape Operations
- Oracle Tape Libraries (SL series)
- Oracle Key Manager
- IBM Tape Libraries (TS Series)
- IBM Key Manager (GKLM)
- SAN Array, NFS Filer, Data Domain knowledge extra, but not necessary
- Bachelor Degree preferred. (Experience weights more than degree)
- Main storage platform/environment: Most Oracle SL4000 and SL8000 series. There are a few IBM TS4500s.
Pay Rate: $65.00 - $68.00/hr.
