Job Summary and Qualifications
Certified Central Sterile Technician
The Certified Central Sterile Technician is responsible for proper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments.
What you will do in this role:
- You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing and storing procedures.
- You will understand principles of sterilization techniques and operates sterilization equipment.
- You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.
- You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.
- You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange.
- You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
What qualifications you will need:
- Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required or Certified Surgical Tech.
- Experience preferred, but not required.
