PRN Certified Sterile Processing Technician -No weekends, no holidays and no call!
Physician's Surgery Center of Knoxville, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Sterile Processing Tech, SPD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Follow established protocols and standards to maintain the integrity and sterility of all processed items.
- Monitor and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate supply of sterile instruments.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining aseptic technique at all times.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
- Previous experience in sterile processing within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
