About the Job
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Technician to join our pharmaceutical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of sterile medications, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Accurately compound sterile medications in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
2. Prepare and label medications according to established procedures.
3. Maintain a clean and organized compounding area, adhering to sterile compounding guidelines.
4. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of compounding equipment.
5. Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
6. Follow all safety protocols and maintain awareness of potential risks in the compounding process.
7. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Sterile Compounding Technician is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Sterile Compounding Technician in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
3. Strong understanding of aseptic technique and sterile compounding procedures.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
6. Effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
7. Familiarity with compounding software and electronic health records is advantageous.
