About the Job
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic STEM Educator specializing in Computer Science, Coding Fundamentals, and Robotics to inspire and engage students in the exciting world of technology for the 2025-2026 school year. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of STEM Innovation and Education in developing and delivering innovative, hands-on lessons that cultivate students' interest in STEM fields.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Assist in designing and implementing a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum for computer science, coding, and robotics tailored to Elementary students.
Classroom Instruction:
Deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Integrate real-world applications and examples to make STEM concepts relevant and accessible.
Coding Fundamentals:
Instruct students on foundational coding concepts and languages appropriate for their grade level.
Foster a growth mindset and computational thinking skills through coding projects and activities.
Robotics Education:
Lead hands-on robotics activities, guiding students through the design, construction, and programming of robots.
Help facilitate robotics competitions and challenges to promote teamwork and problem-solving.
Technology Integration:
Integrate technology tools and platforms to enhance the learning experience.
Stay current with advancements in educational technology and incorporate relevant tools into the curriculum.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with fellow educators to create interdisciplinary STEM projects.
Coordinate with other teachers to reinforce STEM concepts in other subjects.
Provide support and resources to teachers who may be less familiar with STEM concepts, facilitating a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Professional Development:
Stay abreast of developments in STEM education and attend relevant professional development opportunities.
Share best practices and innovations with colleagues to continuously improve the quality of education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or higher degree in Education, STEM, Computer Science, or a related field.
Teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience in K-8 education.
Proficiency in coding languages suitable for the target age group.
Experience with educational robotics platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for inspiring students to pursue careers in STEM fields.

This is a fulltime position. 7:45 am - 4:45 pm (and, 2:45 pm on Fridays), 10 month position. Starting date: August 11th, 2025
