Metallus Internship Program

Internship Assignment: Full Time – Summer 2025
- Hands on experience shadowing refractory engineer
- Assist in daily tasks, project management, and continuous improvement
- Review inventory of refractory and usage in different areas
- Interface with procurement and vendors to establish contracts
- Collaborate with steelmaking operations to execute trials and drive best practices
Internship Qualifications:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
- Preferred majors: Engineering, Material Science Engineering
- Organization skills
- Presentation and documentation skills to communicate work and recommendations to move forward
- Ability to do some analysis using Excel or a statistical analysis program
