What You Will Do: As a Steel Project Manager at Kinsley Steel, you will oversee and coordinate the entire lifecycle of fabricating and erecting structural steel, miscellaneous metals, joists, and metal deck for assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing steel detailing, surveying, and resolving design conflicts
• Reading specifications and blueprints to determine material requirements and project scope
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive schedules from preconstruction to project closeout
• Preparing and executing critical project documents, including submittals, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Coordinating with clients, engineers, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project execution
• Preparing detailed schedules of values for billing purposes
• Maintaining organized project documents in hard copy and electronic formats
• Collaborating with other project contractors and managing steel packages through the BIM process
• Ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and budgetary standards
• Conducting field measurements and verifying compliance with project specifications

Who We Are Looking For: To succeed as a Steel Project Manager at Kinsley Steel, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: Prior project management experience in steel fabrication and erection is strongly preferred.
• Education: A 2-4 year post-secondary degree is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project or Primavera)
  • Knowledge of Tekla, Trimble, Powerfab programs is a plus
• Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel construction
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and cost control standards
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to apply mathematics for scheduling, estimating, and project planning
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage project documents and relationships
  • Tools and ability to conduct field measurements and audits
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License for site visits and travel
