What it's like to be a Steel Estimator

Your role will be vital in our organization, as you'll be responsible for estimating costs and providing accurate project assessments. Each day, you'll dive into different projects, reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation. You'll collaborate with our team to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive cost estimates. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you assess material quantities, labor requirements, and production timelines.

In this role, attention to detail is crucial. You'll need to ensure that your estimates are accurate and align with industry standards. You may need to communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather additional information and negotiate pricing. Your schedule as a Steel Estimator will typically be Monday to Friday, providing you with a great work-life balance.
