Summary: The Statewide Energy Specialist is responsible for providing client and contractor/vendor support by assigning jobs to contractors, monitoring job progress, and processing project closeout documentation in coordination with the Lead Vendor Implementation (LVI) initiative. Responsibilities include project management and quality control inspections for completed LVI energy efficiency work in 1-4 unit residential dwellings throughout the Commonwealth of MA. Efficiency measures include but are not limited to: Weatherization (insulation, air sealing, etc.), energy efficient lighting upgrades, energy efficient appliance upgrades, high efficiency heating system upgrades, air-source heat pump/ductless mini-split retrofits, and more.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, EXPEMPT

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review of LVI project scope submissions from subcontracted vendors through web-based project management platforms.
- Visual and diagnostic quality control of installed measures by subcontracted vendors.
- Visual inspection, combustion safety testing, air flow diagnostics, IR imaging, customer satisfaction survey, etc.
- Submission of final project files for invoicing and funding source reporting.
- Monitor work in progress by subcontractors to determine that work performance and materials are used in conformance with accepted standards as required by funding source.
- Conduct technical screening of single-family energy efficiency projects submitted by Home Performance Contractors across the State
- Perform post-inspections on all single-family efficiency projects to ensure that work performed meets the required standard.
- Respond and resolve client, contractor, and vendor inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Ensure the efficient processing of work orders, invoices, customer requests and emails, entering information into database in a timely manner.
- Operational area includes the entirety of the National Grid service territory in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Provide timely and accurate data as requested by managers and funding sources.
- Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide, and other meetings.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast paced, detail oriented and environment.
- Excellent problem solving /judgment skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational, interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Second language a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills
Education and Experience:
- 1 to 5 years' experience in building/construction trades and/or energy efficiency work.
- Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications preferred but not required
- Drivers' license required and reliable daily transportation.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, kneel, and sit for long periods.
- Able to lift and climb ladders.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
