Role and Responsibilities:
As the Director of State Controller, you will oversee financial operations across multiple locations. Working closely with our dynamic leadership team, you will develop and implement innovative financial strategies. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Reporting monthly results and presenting financials at meetings with physicians, the board, and finance committees.
- Developing comprehensive reporting packages and investigating financial variances.
- Managing the annual budget and providing financial oversight to revenue cycle business offices.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficiencies in accounting operations.
- Collaborating with operational and support teams to optimize financial performance.
- Supporting strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience, including 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
- Experience in practice management and healthcare finance is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
Location and Work Environment:
Initially, this role will be based at our Corporate Office in Teaneck for three days per week, allowing you to build relationships and align with team objectives. Remote work options may be considered based on performance and team integration.
