FAMILY SERVICES SPECIALIST - STAGE 1 CASE MANAGEMENT
What We're Looking For:
Crystal Stairs, Inc is looking for experienced Family Services Specialist. In this position you will determine family eligibility and help parents eligible under the California subsidized child care programs gain access to child care programs and services. In this role you will certify and re-certify family eligibility in accordance to compliance standards. You will certify and authorize care hours, update family information, approve changes, and issue family referrals as needed. You will provide quality customer service for all clients and internal support departments, and ensuring the accurate and timely entry of data. You may perform childcare orientations at county/government Regional Offices. May also conduct weekly site visits to various locations. Other key duties may include conducting childcare orientations and outreach activities, as well as represent the agency at community events.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- Two years experience in case management or client/vendor management in a human services or child development environment.
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited four-year university; comparable work experience may be substituted.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience with a diverse client base.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to satisfactorily apply program guidelines, compliance standards and follow procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to work overtime.
