In your Staffing Coordinator role, you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget and census. Order / maintain all supplies need to provide patient care.

Staffing Responsibilities:
- Maintains current listing of all employee phone numbers.
- Maintains daily tardy and absentee calendar.
- Reports excessive tardiness and/or absenteeism to the Director of Nursing in accordance with facility policy.
- Works with Human Resources and the Director of Nursing regarding modified duty scheduling.
- Assists employees with accurate completion of forms pertinent to scheduling and staffing.
- Completes daily and monthly nursing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage of shifts.
- Answers employee phone calls regarding staffing/scheduling and prepare written correspondence.
- Answers applicant phone calls regarding position availability and coordinate interviews. Maintains current list of openings and provide to HR and DON.
- Ensures newly hired staff have schedules prior to orientation date and participates in orienting new employees to the facility.
- Assists in obtaining nursing care staff information needed for daily posting requirements.
- Provide reports to DON regarding staffing and scheduling issues.
- Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent employee information.
Supplies Responsibilities:
- Ensures all orders in Procurement Partners are reviewed, accurately coded and approved.
- Assists in developing methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment required.
- Delivers emergency supplies and equipment as directed.
- Fills order requests from departments for routine supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Organizes storage, issues and delivers supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Notifies appropriate department when special orders have arrived.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when handling supplies and equipment (e.g. use of back brace, fork lifts, etc.).
- Maintains supply and storage rooms in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
- Follows established policies and procedures concerning infection control when delivering supplies and equipment.
- Ensures defective equipment is identified for maintenance repair as required.
Education Requirements:
- Active C.N.A. Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Healthcare/skilled nursing home experience preferred but not required.
WAGE RANGE: $18.36-$21.03 D.O.E. APPLICATION DEADLINE: 12.20.2024
