Job Summary:
High-performance product team in Supermicro is seeking talented Staff System Product Manager who can lead the technical collateral development of in-house server system products. This individual will be responsible in managing the expectations of our clients and feedback to internal engineering teams to drive the development and improvement of Supermicro GPU system solutions. In addition, the candidate will take the lead in create aggressive go-to market plan, and develop product road map, strategically placed the AI solutions in the market to maximize visibility and help double up the GPU-base system strong presence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Partner with sales, marketing, and cross-functional engineering teams to engage with clients on pre-sales meetings and conferences
• Represent Supermicro and lead the promotion inquiries of in-house storage solutions to win enterprise businesses
• Collaborate closely with customers to define and enhance the specifications of the products, work together closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the products meet the expectation of external clients
• Proactively engage in learning new technologies, lead research and analysis of technology, customer, and competitor trends to develop platform portfolio strategy and roadmap
• Establish and communicate business strategies, lead cross-functional teams to ensure their day-to-day work is aligning with the strategies
• Mentor and coach team members to adopt changes in fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Lead and guide the team to define and develop application benchmarks based on enterprise computing requirements and generic server architecture, key examples include MLPref, Resnet50, Tensorflow etc.
• Execute system level testing such as performance testing, mechanical validation testing, benchmark testing and build proof of concepts based on latest data center technologies and Supermicro server products
• Draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent. Master's degree will be a plus
• Minimum of 12 years with Bachelor (or 8 years with Master degree) of hands-on engineering experience or marketing related experience in hardware industry, preferably computer server, or AI related industry
• Deep understanding on marketing strategy, product launching, go-to strategy.
• Experience engage with tier one clients to enable AI/Machine learning solution is a plus
• Excellent analytics and problem-solving skills, ability to lead the team to resolve complex issues with high level of ambiguity
• Solid interpersonal skills in verbal, written, and presentation with outstanding organization skills to lead cross-functional teams to business success.
• Experience how to plan winning TAM, SWAT analysis.
Salary Range
$203,000 - $234,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
