To meet Google's increasing LLM and Cloud demands while accelerating net zero carbon, we need to identify and implement novel solutions to flatten the lifecycle carbon emission curves for our compute infrastructure, which requires a new suite of analytics, models, tools, and systems for exploring and evaluating effective ideas. You will be working on carbon reduction optimizations for both general purpose compute and accelerated ML platforms, with an emphasis on hardware-software co-optimizations for both Cloud and internal use cases. These will include developing end-to-end energy efficiency and lifecycle evaluation/analysis/optimization support for new and existing hardware products, evaluating and developing new system architectures, as well as improving the end-to-end software stack.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running.
