Position Overview:
Dyna Robotics is seeking a Staff Program Manager to lead and scale our Data Collection Program—a critical enabler of our research and development pipeline. In this role, you will define and execute the strategy for collecting and managing high-quality data, ensuring the seamless operation of a distributed team across multiple sites. You will also develop and enforce quality measures, collaborate cross-functionally to align data collection goals with engineering and research needs, and tackle large, ambiguous problems beyond the domain of data collection to advance Dyna Robotics' broader mission.
This role requires exceptional program management skills, strategic thinking, and the adaptability to manage dynamic, fast-moving priorities.
Key Duties
- Lead the Data Collection Program: Define the strategy and roadmap for data collection across multiple sites, scaling the team and processes to meet evolving R&D demands.
- Quality Management: Develop, implement, and enforce rigorous quality standards for data collection to ensure alignment with engineering and research requirements.
- Team Leadership: Oversee a distributed team of data collectors, ensuring operational excellence, meeting productivity targets, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, research, and operations teams to align program goals, resolve blockers, and drive shared success.
- Adapt to Ambiguity: Tackle large, problems outside of data collection, bringing clarity and actionable solutions to advance company objectives.
- Operational Scalability: Build and improve systems, processes, and tools to support efficient program management and scalability.
- Metrics-Driven Leadership: Establish and monitor program metrics to track progress, identify risks, and optimize for performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline).
- At least 5 years of program management experience, with a proven track record of leading large, complex, and cross-functional programs.
- Demonstrated ability to scale and lead teams of contractors across multiple locations, delivering measurable results under dynamic conditions.
- Experience crafting and executing strategies that align with company goals and address ambiguous or evolving challenges.
- Proven ability to partner effectively with technical teams, including engineering and research, to drive aligned goals.
- Strong skills in designing, implementing, and analyzing program metrics, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading efforts beyond your primary domain of expertise.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving alignment and fostering collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data collection, robotics, or adjacent technical domains.
- Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and process optimization for large-scale operations.
- Knowledge of data integrity and annotation workflows.
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment.
