Salary Range:
$50.00- $67.60, plus applicable shift differential
Summary of Duties: The Staff Physical Therapist will provide professional Physical Therapy Services specific to patient's age and diagnosis including evaluation, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, documentation, educating patient and family, conferring with other professional and performing other related duties as required. Will work in a variety of settings including all floors of the acute care hospital. Patients will include inpatients and outpatients. May also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements: Holds Bachelor's, Master's or Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from accredited program of Physical Therapy approved by the council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association required.
Licensure / Certification Requirements: Holds or is eligible for current California Physical Therapy license issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) Physical Therapy Board required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
Experience Requirements: Successful completion of internship in Physical Disabilities setting required. 1-2 years of experience in acute care setting is desired. Knowledge of the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Familiar with standard Physical Therapy modalities and exercise equipment, with good working knowledge of acute care (ortho, neuro, wound).
Special Skills or Abilities: Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action. Ability to express oneself clearly in speaking and in writing, with emotional stability, personal and professional integrity, and interest in growth and learning.
