Staff Pharmacist - Precision Compounding Pharmacy

The Staff Pharmacist will prepare, compounds, dispense, and sell prescriptions and Pharmacy-related products, answer patient questions, participate in patient assistance and other quality assurance programs.

This position is part of the Operations department in Bellmore, NY and will be located On Site.

You will be part of the Pharmacy Operations team and report directly to the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC). If you thrive in a fast-paced role with a customer focus and want to work to empower the evolution of modern medicine-read on.

In this role, you will have to opportunity to:

• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

• Prescription Filling: 200 Prescriptions a day and validating 200 a day

• Assisting with the direction and monitoring of Pharmacy personnel and performance

  as directed

• Preparing, compounding, dispensing, and selling prescriptions and Pharmacy-related

  products

• Properly securing and maintaining controlled substances

• Following proper Pharmacy and regulatory safety procedures and standards

• Overseeing return to stock processing

• Consulting with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions

• Providing patient/ clients with counseling and education

• Monitoring storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals

• Maintaining a positive and respectful work environment

• Documenting and reporting medication errors to the PIC

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Active pharmacist license in Florida

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy
• Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed
• Strong understanding of medication administration and pharmacology principles
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
