Responsible for future design, development, enhancement, and documentation of our core IT system. The Staff IT Systems Engineer will manage current infrastructure, develop solutions and reports, as well as writes technical specifications and user documentation for all work. Meets with internal stakeholders to discuss specific automation needs and deployment timelines. Analyze and investigate problems that have been reported by internal stakeholders and document the results.
As Staff IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and recommending enhancements to our current application stack to solve people problems and improve employee efficiencies, while maintaining and improving security. All work must be fully documented and any changes to follow change control requirements.
Successful candidate will be a technical expert with a people first attitude. Able to work independently as well as in team environment. As the Staff IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and helping team members. Improve efficiencies by creating automation and scripts within our current applications and keep all aspects of work fully documented.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering with 7 years of IT related experience desired
- 4+ years of IT Systems Administrator experience
- Strong scripting and automation skills with experience in PowerShell or other major scripting language
- Solid experience with Azure Infrastructure and Microsoft Windows Server
- Strong working knowledge of Jamf and Intune
- Strong working knowledge of Okta and Azure AD
- Strong working experience administering Slack, Zoom, O365, Exchange Online, and Servicenow
- Solid understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies
- Experience with Project and Change Management processes and documentation
- VoIP design, implementation, and support a plus
- Knowledge of Information Security solutions.
- Experience with vendor management for software/hardware contracts
- Strong desire to help your teammates to increase their knowledge and improve productivity of those around you
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints involving complex configuration and/or troubleshooting requirements
- Experience supporting product engineering teams and opening collaborative avenues of discussions with their teams
- Experience managing multiple projects
Certifications:
- Microsoft MCSA or MCSE is a plus
- Windows Server 2016 or 2019 certification is a plus
- Microsoft Azure certification a preferred
The base salary compensation range being targeted for this role based out of Gigamon’s Santa Clara, CA Headquarters office is $110,500 - $138,000, with an opportunity to earn an annual bonus or commission (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
