Job Summary:

As an Associate Industrial Hygienist, you'll work under the supervision of a Licensed Industrial Hygienist, where you'll support diverse projects, ranging from hands-on assessment and sampling to limited project management. You'll contribute to written reports, manage data, maintain specialized equipment, and even draft limited-fee proposals. This role also offers a taste of business development opportunities. Typical projects will include assessments related to asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality.

• Field Data Collection: Perform hazardous materials assessments and asbestos air sampling with precision. Ensure data accuracy and follow quality procedures for sample submission and evaluation.
• Report & Proposal Preparation: Draft reports and proposals for small projects reviewed by senior staff and conduct assessments with thoroughness and accuracy.
• Business Development: Engage with local professional organizations and support senior staff in client interactions and meetings to enhance business opportunities.
• Mentoring/Training: Guide or train junior staff with field data collection and field observation tasks, sharing your expertise to enhance team skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or other related sciences
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial hygiene field sampling experience
• Asbestos Inspector and Air Sampler accreditation, a plus
• Good business and technical writing skills
