Staff Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist - CMT Technical Services

CMT is looking for a Geotechnical Project Engineer who can work in a leadership role within our Geotechnical division in Utah.

Description:

• Perform geotechnical analysis and studies to assess construction site conditions.
• Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs effectively.
• Perform field and environmental investigations for construction projects.
• Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare technical reports for review by senior geotechnical engineers.
• Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations.
• Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities.
• Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned projects on-time.
• Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
• Perform basic office administration tasks when needed.

Required Skills:

• Master of science in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• 1-5 years of related work experience within the State of Utah.
• Proficient in soil mechanics.
• Able to creatively apply engineering principals to solve new problems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively in teams.
• Valid Utah professional license (P.E.)
