Staff Engineer / Project Manager - Geotechnical Engineering - Professional Service Industries Inc

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is searching for a Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager to join our Building & Constructionteam in our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile project management career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

This role will work from the local office and will be responsible for handling geotechnical reports, from inception to completion and through the proposal phase all the way to the reporting phase.

What you'll do:

• Manage Projects through close, interpersonal relation with clients and PSI staff
• Performs a variety of assignments that include independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications to these standards
• Prepares subsurface exploration reports to be incorporated into project plans and specifications developed by the client
• Assigns work / tasks to staff
• Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects
• Prepares proposals to provide professional services
• Reviews recommendations with Principal Consultant
• Maintains and leverages client relationships and develops new project opportunities
• Attends client site meetings
• Communicates effectively with client and project teams
• Works on one or multiple projects at a time
• Trains Technicians and other technical staff
• May perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests
• May work both in the field and laboratory occasionally
• Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work

• Bachelors Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering from an accredited / ABET school required
• Experience in civil / geotechnical engineering and site subsurface explorations or related activities is highly preferred
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are required
• The ability to read and understand work plans is required
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Professional Registration - PE, FG, EIT, or GIT - are highly preferred
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)
