Staff Engineer - Construction - Professional Service Industries Inc

Professional Service Industries, Inc. in Plymouth, MI seeks a Staff Engineer-Construction to perform subsurface field inspections to conduct density spot checks on general contractors (quality assurance) and subcontractors (quality assurance). Maintaining complete and accurate records of inspections and tasks performed. Observing the geotechnical subsurface and performing geotechnical subsurface log using Bentley glNT 10. Professional Analyzing and inspecting the geotechnical construction by extracting materials for laboratory testing, bearing capacity utilizing Housel and Dynamic Cone Penetrometer test. Preparing construction material analysis on laboratory results to determine the adequacy and strength of the materials via PSI qest. Reviewing and preparing engineering quality surveillance reports on the various tests performed and the number of tests processed through the laboratory. Preparing control analysis and performing assessment on the equipment usage. Analyzing and verifying all design data and information generated for various projects and resolve any discrepancies or problems that may arise. Serve as the Engineer liaison between different departments while coordinating site inspections, field meetings, and laboratory upkeep. Investigating potential environmental hazards, and implementing correctional actions with respect to safety and quality of materials.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of engineering experience working with Construction Material
