Staff Engineer - Construction - Professional Service Industries Inc

DUTIES: Perform preliminary report writing and review. Attend client site meetings, perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests. Perform independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications to these standards. Responsible for training technicians and the technical team.

LOCATION: Professional Service Industries, Inc. d/b/a Intertek PSI, 16049 Leone Drive, Macomb, MI 48042

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering or a closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Project Manager, Staff Engineer, Technician, or a closely related occupation.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires (3) years of experience in the following:

• Performing independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications;

• DOT Density Certified;

• Reading plans and specs;

• Assisting in staff and equipment quality audits;

• Reviewing and signing test reports;

• Preparing advanced proposals for internal and external review; and

• Training field staff.
