What You'll Do
- Architect and Lead: Design and implement scalable, high-performance systems critical to our business and customers.
- Deliver API Excellence: Lead the design, development, and documentation of secure, efficient, and scalable APIs, ensuring seamless integration across systems and services.
- Solve Technical Problems: Address some of the most complex technical challenges in the industry, making high-stakes decisions that impact the security, performance, and scalability of our products.
- Drive Best Practices: Champion adopting best practices in software development, including CI/CD, code quality, testing, and documentation, ensuring our engineering processes are world-class.
- Mentor and Develop: Mentor less experienced engineers, providing guidance and support as they grow their skills and contribute to the team's success.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with other senior engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in object-oriented programming, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, impactful software products and services.
- Strong experience with AWS, designing and deploying scalable, resilient cloud architectures.
- Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases, with the ability to design and optimize data storage solutions for high performance and scalability.
- Expertise in a modern web application stack, such as Python/Django, Node/Express, or Java/Spring, with the ability to lead the development of sophisticated web applications.
- Proven experience building and deploying applications using Docker and expertise with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins to streamline the development process.
- Extensive experience in API design, development, and documentation, ensuring APIs are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
