We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Architect to join our dynamic team and lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced BI solutions.
The Senior Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-wide BI solutions, ensuring that data analytics and reporting meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data analysts to translate business needs into robust BI architectures and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and BI tools, coupled with strong leadership and project management skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Implementation:
- Design and implement scalable and efficient BI architectures, including data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP solutions.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead BI projects across cross-functional teams from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Define BI strategies, standards, and best practices to optimize data management and reporting.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into advanced analytics solutions to transform data into actionable business insights
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay current with the latest BI technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact and integration into existing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to BI developers and data analysts.
Data Quality & Governance:
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security by implementing robust data governance practices.
- Develop and enforce policies for data management and access.
Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of BI systems to ensure efficient data retrieval and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BI system issues, implementing preventative measures to avoid future problems.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in BI architecture, data warehousing, and analytics.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.
- Strong experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of leading successful BI projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
- Certification in BI tools or platforms (CBIP, Google, Microsoft, IBM QlikView)
Salary and Benefits:
The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $160,000 - $180,000. Compensation may be different in other locations. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits. Specific offer packages are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location.
