largest units are family and housing. Attorneys appear in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level, and before administrative agencies. Staff
attorneys also work on systemic advocacy efforts, including impact litigation and policy advocacy.
The client provides significant support and structure to all new hires through a variety of strategies including regular supervision, feasible caseloads, peer mentoring, and a rigorous yet collegial Practice Group that emphasizes litigation skills, trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, and working as a team.

Qualifications:
- Member of Connecticut Bar preferred, or eligibility to waive in or sit for the next Connecticut Bar Exam
- Juris Doctor degree
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including ability to self-direct
- Personal attributes including: dedication to social justice and to advocating for people living in poverty, self-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to working as a team, ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
