Staff Attorney - 2+Years Experience at Student Legal Services at Kent State University

Student Legal Services at Kent State University (SLS) seeks a full-time Staff Attorney for its Kent, Ohio location.  SLS is a non-profit law office supporting student success by affordably serving the legal needs of Kent State students through legal advice, representation, education, and resources in civil and criminal matters.

The Staff Attorney provides legal advice and representation for various matters including criminal misdemeanors, traffic offenses, landlord-tenant, consumer, contract disputes, contract review and drafting, debt collection/credit reporting, simple estate planning, and more. 

Applicants must have at least two years of experience and be licensed to practice law in Ohio.  Courtroom experience and practice in Portage County court system are preferred.  The ideal applicant is passionate about assisting in the education and retention of students.
