Staff Accountant – Fridays Off & Metro Accessible

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a nonprofit organization who has been around for over 50 years that focuses on art and literature.
• Due to a leave, they are looking for a temporary Staff Accountant.
• Duration: 3+ months
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday; 8:30a – 4:45p; Friday’s off!
• Pay: $33-36/hr – depending on experience
• Location: Washington, DC - Metro Accessible - 100% Onsite

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Journal Entries
• Reviewing expense reports and P-Card statements
• AP and Payroll Reconciliations
• Ad hoc projects and reporting

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Non-profit experience is required
• Experience with Workday is a plus
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
