Pay Rate: $65,000 - $70,000/year

We are seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting various accounting functions. This position is ideal for candidates with a degree in Accounting or Finance who possess strong time management, attention to detail, and analytical thinking skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accounting and financial information for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly transactions.
- Record intercompany transactions, reconcile and confirm intercompany balances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger.
- Perform financial statement review and analysis.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Update accounts receivable records, issue invoices, and perform reconciliations.
- Review accounts receivable aging and perform customer collection calls.
- Apply customer payments and make bank deposits.
- Enter accounts payable invoices and corporate credit card transactions.
- Act as backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Participate in external audits by working with auditors and preparing required work papers.
- Contribute to ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and financial analysis as assigned.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to optimize financial operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Accountant.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to travel locally between office locations as needed.
- Inventory/manufacturing experience is a plus.
