Job Summary:
Ledgent is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, perform financial analysis, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage and track financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Maintain and analyze financial records to ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Assist with audit preparation and provide support during external and internal audits.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve and streamline accounting processes using ERP functionalities.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections and invoice processing.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax filings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or working towards certification.
- Experience with financial reporting tools and business intelligence software.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or service-oriented industry.
