We are actively looking for a Staff Accountant to support an amazing organization in Winston-Salem, NC.
Essential Functions for the Staff Accountant:
- Assist with daily operations within the accounting department.
- Perform AP data entry in the ERP system to maintain accurate payable schedules.
- Monitor daily bank transactions to support the cash reconciliation process.
- Assist with the year-end physical inventory count and audit process as necessary.
- Maintain vendor records in the ERP system.
- Collect, document, and code receipts for company credit card expenses.
- Record cash journal entries to reflect account activity as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is essential.
- Progress or plans towards obtaining CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of business operations.
- Experience or familiarity with the 1099 and W9 processes.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to perform tasks within deadlines.
- Exceptional customer service experience is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and general knowledge of the entire Microsoft Suite.
- Preferably 1-3 years of relevant work experience, but not mandatory.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
