About the Role:
As a Staff Accountant at MMT, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is perfect for a motivated individual with a strong accounting foundation who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing reports, and supporting audits—all while contributing to our culture of accountability and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

• Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Ensure transactions are correctly recorded in ledgers, including the general ledger, A/P subledger, and A/R subledger.
• Process expense reports with precision and timeliness.
• Perform month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports using advanced financial systems.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable and oversee collections and payables as needed.
• Conduct general accounting reconciliations and support audits by providing documentation and explanations.

• Perform other duties as directed to support the team and company objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with accounting systems and the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
