We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Staff Accountant for our thriving medical industry client. This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-oriented individual to join a fast-paced, high-energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding in the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, creating journal entries, and utilizing Excel for various accounting tasks. The position requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
2. Utilizing Excel for various accounting tasks, including data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
3. Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses.
4. Assisting with internal and external audit requests, ensuring that all requested data and documentation are provided in a timely manner.
5. Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
6. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
7. Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
8. Participating in special projects and ad hoc reporting as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
3. Proficiency in Excel, including experience with pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced functions.
4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP.
5. Experience with month-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
11. Experience in the medical industry is highly desirable, but not required.
