Staff Accountant - Washington, DC

This is an in-office position - the candidates must be located in the greater Washington, DC area

Pay: $48,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience

Full Time; Full Benefits Package.

Due to multiple recent acquisitions and growth, we’re looking to add a detail oriented Staff accountant to our team. The successful applicant should have experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation.

Join our dynamic team as a Staff Accountant!  Due to multiple recent acquisitions and growth, we’re looking to add one detail-oriented Junior Staff accountant to our accounting team. The successful applicant needs experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation. This position is in DC. New Graduates in DC are welcome.

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct regular G/L account entry activity.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
• Reconcile bank statement.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, research and solve discrepancies.
• Assist in audit activities.
• Assist accounting team in special projects and assignments as required.

Job requirements include but are not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Fluent in Microsoft office, excel, word, etc.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-company environment.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.
