We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The staff accountant position requires a motivated individual who can perform a variety of accounting and finance tasks as the organization grows. The incumbent works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Month-end close: responsible for general ledger month-end expense close; process closing journal entries, maintain completeness and accuracy of general ledger and create various account reconciliations
• Technical accounting: assist with research and documentation of technical accounting issues
• Participate, as needed, in business integration activities including but not limited to purchase accounting and/or setup of newly created or acquired entities
• Audit: assist with external audit and audit requests
• Oversee documentation and test internal controls
• Process & systems: seek to improve existing systems/processes in areas of responsibility and assist with the selection/implementation of new systems as needed
• Other duties as assigned and required

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience – mix of public/private preferred
• CPA a plus
• Excellent technical accounting skills required, including strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP
• Proficiency in MS Office required, Netsuite experience a plus
• Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment

This position offers a total compensation range of $72,800.00 to $78,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
