Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Reconcile various accounts for Sheppard Pratt and affiliated organizations.
- Record and maintain receipts and disbursements logs as required.
- Prepare, enter, and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial data.
- Support the accounting team in managing daily operations and administrative tasks.
- Track and report on miscellaneous billings.
- Gather and provide audit documentation and support when necessary.
Staff Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience, plus 2-3 years of customer service experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial theory.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting and general ledger systems.
- Solid knowledge of general accounting and compliance reporting.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve issues in clearing accounts and reconcile balances.
- Strong ability to interpret and synthesize financial data from various sources.
