Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Tax Staff Accountant for a growing full-service accounting firm. This firm is on a mission to revolutionize the accounting industry by leveraging technology to move beyond transactional work and focus on providing advisory services to clients. With impressive growth over the last decade, the firm is poised for even greater expansion, and they are looking for an experienced Tax Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of tax experience in a CPA firm to help achieve their ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare workpapers and income tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to maintain precise financial records.
• Generate financial reports using income and expenditure data to support client decision-making.
• Handle both Cash Basis and Accrual Basis accounting methods.
• Prepare and remit various state and local tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
• Consult directly with clients about their tax and accounting service needs.
• Collaborate with clients and team members on planning opportunities and tax strategies.
• Take on additional duties and special projects as required.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 2-3 years of tax experience working in a CPA firm.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to self-manage and deliver results on time and accurately.
• Proactive problem-solving approach with strong decision-making skills.
• Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and familiarity with technology.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and the ability to achieve QBO ProAdvisor certification.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $54,000 - $75,000 per year
