Staff Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

We are seeking a Staff Accountant/Senior Staff Accountant for growing Property and Casualty Insurance company! This individual must be naturally curious and eager to learn, as this role will provide opportunity for growth as the company continues to skyrocket! This is a HYBRID position.

Monday- Friday, 8-5pm.

Compensation: $70,000-$90,000, depending on experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar is REQUIRED.
• 3-4+ years of Accounting experience, specifically working in the General Ledger.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Look Ups).
• Working knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of general ledger accounts.
• Contribute to the development and review of annual budgets and performance projections.
• Maintain documentation to ensure the company can easily respond to requests by auditors, stakeholders, and government entities.
• Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations, verify the accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors made by both internal and external personnel.
• Respond to information requests by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and monitor policies and procedures for assigned departments, identifying, and suggesting improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures.
