Staff Accountant - Stow, OH - JOB 24-00818

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000  Permanent Position with Benefits

We are looking for a Staff Accountant for a company that provides comprehensive accounting, tax, payroll, and business advisory services to a variety of clients and industries including real estate, franchisees, construction, manufacturing, service, and not-for-profit.

Summary of Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant should have experience with both taxes and preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. This job requires a person to be dependable, detail oriented, have good communication skills and be able to perform the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare general ledger accounts and adjusting journal entries
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income, and profit and loss statements
• Perform account analysis and bank reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger charts of accounts, fixed assets and depreciation, and update accounting records and files
• Prep year end general ledger to trial balance
• Prepare and finalize tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
• Analyze financial data and create Excel spreadsheets for tax projections
• Conduct month end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Educational Experience

• B.S. Accounting
• Minimum three years accounting experience
• Experience closing books for small businesses*** highly desired
• Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
