Staff Accountant - Gunner

The Staff Accountant will be an integral piece to our continued growth and expansion efforts into new markets, partnerships and product offerings. This Staff Accountant will report to our VP of Finance and have full training into our systems and processes. General Accounting
· Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
· Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Month-End Close
· Design and lead the month-end close process, preparing financial statements and actionable reports.
· Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
· Provide assistance with payroll, invoicing, commission, and subcontractor payments.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies in alignment with the month-end close schedule.
· Monitor credit card statements.
· Track key expenses.
Collaboration
· Work closely with the VP of Finance to support financial planning and analysis, cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
· Work closely with project managers to monitor product returns and reconcile supply billing.
· Create and track job-level financials, ensuring all relevant costs are identified.
· Prepare audit schedules, support audit processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Accounting
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general accounting functions and financial reporting
- General ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable experience
- Proficient in Quickbooks Online, Oracle NetSuite, or other accounting software; experience in system implementation is a plus
- A Great Attitude and Strong Work Ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
