Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes across multiple accounting frameworks (US GAAP, Canadian GAAP, IFRS)
• Develop and execute comprehensive journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage bi-weekly payroll accounting and related accrual entries
• Coordinate with external auditors and support tax return preparation
• Conduct detailed tax filings including HST/GST, Sales & Use Tax, and Fuel Tax
• Perform advanced financial analysis and process improvement initiatives
• Provide technical accounting support to finance team

Qualifications:

• 2 years progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in one of these areas:
  • Production cost accounting
  • Inventory management
  • Cost of Goods Sold analysis
  • Asset capitalization
  • Revenue recognition principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capabilities
• ERP systems proficiency (Microsoft GP preferred)
• CPA certification or active candidacy highly preferred
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
