Annie Malone presents an exciting opportunity for an on-site Staff Accountant!
As the Staff Accountant at Annie Malone Children & Family Services, reporting to the CFO, you will focus on Accounts Receivables and Grant Fiscal Management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare invoices for grants and contracts, based on agreed terms and conditions.
- Work closely with Programs and Operations to ensure accuracy in billing.
- Ensure timely revenue recognition and system posting.
- Reconcile payments received against invoices and manage all grant budgeting processes.
- Performs follow-up on open AR.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, focusing on grant funding.
- Support the annual fiscal audit.
- Back-up for Accounts Payable including: completing payments, charging expenses to accounts and cost centers, paying vendors, and review of employee expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with computerized accounting software system.
- Two or more years of related experience working with fiscal grant billing and reporting, in a non-profit environment.
- Experience with month end close and analyzing financial statements.
- Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft 365.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Salary Range:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $55,000.
