Job Details
We are looking for a hardworking, highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in the team's day-to-day operations, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities:
· Reviews & enters all incoming bills & invoices in a timely manner.
· Works with all personnel in the cost coding and approval of job-related invoices
· Process Weekly Payroll
· Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining payment authorization.
· Monitors and reconciles credit card charges, including payment discrepancies, refunds, returns, and miscellaneous charges.
· Assists with weekly cash reporting.
· Works with vendors to resolve any billing issues.
· Assists with reports for quarterly and year-end reporting.
· Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
· Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
· Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Desired qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
· Proficient in Sage 100 (a must), Excel, Word & Outlook
· Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
· Must have strong oral and written communication skills
· Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
· Ability to execute and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously
· Highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
